ABSTRACT
Breast fibroadenoma is an anarchic proliferation of epithelial and connective tissue. Giant fibroadenoma is a rare and specific to adolescents. Young adolescents aged between 10 and 18 are particularly concerned. Ultrasound is the best paraclinical examination. We present the case of a 14-year-old girl who consulted the Gynaecology/Obstetrics and Paediatrics Hospital in Douala for a mass in the left breast that had appeared spontaneously 3 months previously, was painless and rapidly increasing in volume. A lumpectomy with total excision was performed. The post-operative course was straightforward, with no subsequent complications or recurrences. Histological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of giant fibroadenoma of the left breast.
