Abstract

Dans cet article, les auteurs font une revue des connaissances actuelles sur le rôle des intégrines dans le comportement biologique des cancers, de sa genèse,  sa progression à sa métastatisation. Au moment où plusieurs approches sont étudiées pour le traitement de cette pathologie, la recherche du rôle des intégrines, en même temps qu’elle renforce le fait de la complexité biologique de la cellule cancéreuse, ouvre en même temps  la voie  des perspectives de thérapie médicale supplémentaire.

In this article, the authors review the role of integrins in the biologic behaviour of cancer, from its genesis to its progression and metastasis. Within the context of the many approaches that exist for the treatment of the disease, this review highlights the biologic complexity of the malignant cells and points the way to additional therapies.
