Les auteurs rapportent un cas d’un géant méningiome frontal parasagital droit à manifestation psychiatrique d’allure dépressive. Elle a été révélée par une aggravation des troubles psychiatriques et confirmée par l’imagerie. La patiente âgée de 68 ans a été opérée et les suites opératoires ont été satisfaisantes.<br /> Il est important de noter à partir de cet article, que devant tout trouble psychiatrique, qu’il soit d’allure dépressive ou non, un scanner cérébral ou une IRM cérébrale s’impose avant le début de tout traitement prolongé. Ceci est capital dans notre contexte car certains troubles psychiatriques peuvent s’avérer d’origine tumorale.<br /><br />ABSTRACT<br />Parasagittal meningiomas are intracranial meningiomas that insert into the upper sagittal sinus lining, an insertion that can extend either at the convexity or at the scythe. The authors report a case of a giant parasagital frontal meningioma with a depressive-like psychiatric manifestation. It was revealed by worsening psychiatric conditions and confirmed by imagery. The 68-year-old patient underwent surgery and the post-operative results were satisfactory.<br />It is important to note from this article that in the face of any psychiatric disorder, whether depressive-like or not, a brain scan or brain MRI is required before the start of any prolonged treatment.
