Conclusion.

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The administration of chemotherapy requires prior knowledge of the protocols by the nursing staff. Knowledge of protocols has two advantages; the first is to inform the patient and the second is that of prevention, anticipation of any side effects or complications and intervention in case of incidents or accidents. Population and methods. This was a multicenter CAP study with analytical aim, over 9 months in Congo. Nurses administering chemotherapy and consenting to participate in the study were included. The variables studied were: age, gender, level of education before paramedical school, occupational variables, related to the knowledge, aptitude and practice of chemotherapy by nurses. Results. 70 nurses were interviewed. The median age of nurses was 40 years with extremes of 27 and 59 years. The sex ratio (M/F) was 0.09. Sixty-one comma forty-three percent (61.43%) of nurses had a good level of knowledge. It was noted that 61.43% of nurses had a good level of attitude and 87.14% of nurses had a good level of practice. We found no significant link between level of knowledge and level of attitude(p<0.05). There is a significant link between the level of knowledge and the level of practice (p=0.006) as well as between the level of attitude and practice (p=0.015). Conclusion. Nurses have acquired skills in daily practice for some and during continuing education for others. The level of practice varies depending on the place of practice.
}, number={2 Suppl 1}, journal={HEALTH SCIENCES AND DISEASE}, author={Bolenga Liboko, Alexis Fortuné and CSF, Ngatali and ME, Nzalankazi and RJ, Ndingossoka and DD, Kabore and L, Kisimba Kasongo and Lydie Ocini, Ngolet and JB, Nkoua-Mbon}, year={2022}, month={Feb.} }
