L’objectif de ce travail était de faire une analyse descriptive des pathologies proctologiques prises en charge au service de la chirurgie digestive du centre hospitalier et universitaire (CHU) de Brazzaville. Patients et méthodes. Il s’agit d’une étude rétrospective descriptive menée sur une période de 18 mois, dans le service de chirurgie digestive du CHU de Brazzaville. Elle a concerné les patients suivis pour des pathologies proctologiques. Résultats. Dans notre étude, 40 cas ont été colligés soit une fréquence hospitalière de 4,8%, avec un sex ratio de 2,63 au profit des hommes. L’âge moyen des patients était de 45,57±13,90 ans avec des extrêmes de 18 et 77 ans. Les pathologies hémorroïdaires et les fistules étaient les plus fréquentes avec respectivement 50% et 22,5%. Dans ces groupes, les prolapsus hémorroïdaires (80%) et les fistules anales (55,56%) étaient majoritaires. Sur le plan thérapeutique, 87,50% ont subi un traitement chirurgical. L’évolution était favorable dans 92,5%. Le séjour hospitalier moyen était de 4,5 jours. La morbidité était dominée par un défaut de cicatrisation. Conclusion. Les pathologies proctologiques sont fréquentes en milieu chirurgical. Malgré un délai de prise en charge jugé encore long dans notre contexte, la chirurgie a donné des résultats satisfaisants.</p> <p>ABSTRACT<br />Introduction. Proctological problems are a frequent reason for consultation in surgery. The objective of this work was to make a descriptive analysis of the proctological pathologies taken care of in the digestive surgery department of the university hospital center (CHU) of Brazzaville. Patients and methods. This was a descriptive retrospective study carried out over a period of 18 months, in the digestive surgery department of the Brazzaville University Hospital. It concerned patients followed for proctological pathologies. Results. In our study, 40 cases were collected, a hospital frequency of 4.8% with a sex ratio of 2.63 in favor of men. The mean age of the patients was 45.57 ± 13.90 years with ranges of 18 and 77 years. Hemorrhoidal pathologies and fistulas were the most frequent with 50% and 22.5% respectively. In these groups, hemorrhoidal prolapse (80%) and anal fistulas (55.56%) were in the majority. Therapeutically, 87.50% underwent surgical treatment. The outcome was favorable in 92.5%. The average hospital stay was 4.5 days. Morbidity was dominated by a lack of healing. Conclusion. Proctological pathologies are frequent in surgical settings.
