Abstract
RÉSUMÉ
En Otorhinolaryngologie, il est fréquent de retrouver des corps étrangers dans l’œsophage. Toutefois la migration cervicale d’un corps étranger œsophagien est une situation très rare en pratique clinique. Cette migration se caractérise par une symptomatologie polymorphe et dépendante de la nature du corps étranger ingéré. Ce polymorphisme rend difficile le choix du diagnostic et de la démarche thérapeutique à suivre par le praticien. Nous décrivons un cas de migration d’une arête de poisson au niveau latérocervical avec extériorisation à la peau chez un patient de 23 ans ayant ingéré depuis 1 mois cette arête au cours d’un repas. Ce cas montre que la prise en charge de la migration cervicale d’un corps étranger œsophagien repose sur l’imagerie médicale particulièrement la radiographie cervicale.
ABSTRACT
In Otorhinolaryngology, it is common to find foreign bodies in the esophagus. However, cervical migration of an oesophageal foreign body is a very rare situation in clinical practice. This migration is characterized by a polymorphic symptomatology that depends on the nature of the ingested foreign body. This polymorphism makes it difficult for the practitioner to choose the diagnosis and therapeutic approach to follow. We describe a case of lateral cervical migration of a fish bone with externalization through the skin in a 23-year-old patient who ingested this bone during a meal one month ago. This case shows that the management of cervical migration of an oesophageal foreign body relies on medical imaging, particularly cervical radiography.
